Glued Gasketed Type PHE Heat Exchanger features glued type rubber gaskets onto the steel plates, creating different channels while assembled.
Hot fluid and cold fluid will flow into the Plate Heat Exchanger simultaneously. One flows into the first channel, while the other is blocked by the sealed gasket and enters into the second. Therefore, the two are able to exchange heat by contacting directly with the steel plates.
While the fluid gets thicker, we may also increase channel distance to ensure a stable flow, though heat efficiency would have to compromise due to insufficient contact with plates. In that sense, compared with Brazed plate heat exchanger, gasketed type PHE serves various more fluids other than just clean and pure fluids like water.
