For new heat exchanger fins, the minimum allowable stress should be used for connection and fixation. Depending on the number of heat exchanger plates in each group, the tightening force of the heat exchanger can be adjusted once or multiple times. When tightening each time, the nut can be screwed in about 3mm, and always pay attention to the stress of the adjusting plate during the tightening process. Moreover, the tightening force is only allowed to be adjusted at room temperature for heat exchangers without working pressure to prevent dripping.
 
Generally, the stress value range is given in the parts drawing. When it comes to plate heat exchangers, the tightening torque must not be lower than the value specified in the drawing in any case, because it is related to the assembly quality and assembly deformation of the plate heat exchanger. When the torque tightening reaches the specified value, the elastic rubber pad can be replaced in an arranged manner. For plate heat exchangers used in important production equipment and corrosive media, Gemma recommends having a spare set of sealing gaskets. The warehouse temperature is controlled at about 18°C, and the sealing ring of the plate heat exchanger can be stored in transparent packaging plastic for about 3 years.
 
In principle, the fixation of gaskets is divided into two categories: non-adhesive fixation and adhesive fixation. The shape of the sealant sheet should be consistent with that of the plate seal. It must be pointed out that the adhesive fixation method does not have any effect on the sealing function.
