In our daily operation, water and water heat exchange is most common. If large volume (over 4m3/h), we will suggest using Plate & Frame Heat Exchanger. Meanwhile, Brazed plate heat exchanger is also applicable.

Main difference between Plate &Frame Heat Exchanger, and Brazed Plate Heat Exchanger
1) Service time: Plate & Frame can be disassembled and clean, thereby has long service time, compared with Brazed Type that cannot be opened because it is fully welded.
2) Structure: Plate & Frame Exchanger is more complicated, with its parts include plates, gaskets, frame plate, guide bar, support, and many others, that give it an advantage that regular maintenance (space replacement) is accessible. On the contrary, Brazed Plate Heat Exchanger cannot be repaired and therefore fluids are required to be clean & smooth & not corrosive to SS316 Plates.
3) Weight & Sizing: Brazed Plate Heat Exchanger is normally small, while Plate & Frame Type is big and heavy.
After the comparison, we introduce water-water Plate And Frame Heat Exchanger for you.
Hot water will be directed into the exchanger and transfer heat with the cold water. Then we can have two type of water at different temperatures for our further heating/cooling purpose.
